Hi mercia, congratulations, and may you and portia have 15 good years or more together!
I have two lab mixes, one is 11.5 the other 2 years old. They are wonderful, wonderful people.
As far as my Christmas, the single best present was actually a package of two new pair of pyjamas and two robes I had especially requested. With Two of us in uni and one in trade training, there wasn't a great deal of money--but so many other wonderful, little presents.
The trully greatest, though, was my family and close friends. Our mutual love and concern for each other, and ultimately, an utterly fantastic time of celebration that lasted for 28 hours, just enough time to sleep. Super Wicked.

I got fleece sheets that are nice and warm. I am a person who is really cold in the winter at night. Fleece sheets are the next best thing to an electric blanket. My nephews also gave me a bracelet. They usually don't give me jewerly for birthdays or Christmas'. I had been looking for a bracelet. I can't wear bracelets that don't open because of my wrists are too big. I try to slip my hand through it and it won't go.

The best Christmas present was spending time with my fiancee and family. My parents live 4 states away and although I normally travel to see them, my work schedule wouldnt allow that this year. They surprised me by coming to my house. My fiancee also has a very crazy schedule working in a shipping yard and he wasn't sure if he was going to get Christmas eve or day off. Thanks to the weather, a barge that was supposed to come in on Christmas eve got delayed until tuesday and we were able to all spend the holidays together!

My sister came to stay with us for the holidays. This might not mean much to many, but she is very ill, had to travel far and I had not seen her on a Christmas for seventeen years.
She is hospitalized now. So, having her here was the best gift I could have asked for.

It was a Roomba (the vacuum cleaners that clean on their own) to clean up my Golden Retriever's hair. Congratulations on your Lab, they're beautiful dogs with great personalities.

I got a beautiful gold bracelet from my husband, we picked it out together and even more than the bracelet, I will always have the memory of how we laughed when he couldn't work the catch, and how seriously he took the whole shopping deal because he knew I wanted something special.
Its not always the gift, sometimes its the making of a memory.

I loved all my presents! But I guess my favorite was a Pair of Black Knunchucks! (I'm a Brown Belt in Tae Kwon Do)
