Which way do you insert it in the printer? Like normal paper or do you have to have the back side showing?

Yes. Back side facing up. When it comes out, the glossy side will have the picture.

This depends on the printer that you have. My two Epson printers both require that the glossy side be facing you when you insert it.

Some other printers (like the HP I use at work, expects the page to be facing down in the tray.

Try experimenting by printing a small picture on just normal paper. Mark the front side when you insert the paper and then see if that mark is on "the front" when it comes out printed. This will tell you which side of the paper it is actually printing on.

You have to read the printer manual. I have owned printers that say face up while others force you to feed it face down.
