Because the government says it is better and you better agree or face death.

Democracy is definitely better in the long run, but the Chinese society is not ready for a democracy. Not many people realize that citizens must be educated before a democracy is set up; otherwise, people will take advantage of the government. China, under the Nationalist government, was a lot more democratic, and its government fell apart because the people weren't educated.

Right now, China is slowly loosening up and already social ills are plaguing it. Iraq's democratic government is failing because of lack of education. In other words, we should have waited a few more years to liberate Iraq. They may have been under a cruel dictator, but at least they could walk in the streets most of the time without fear of losing their lives.

Because China's government works right now, and it's able to defend itself. But it's worth noting that a lot of people had to die for the current government to take power, and it took a very long time to establish itself. It's also very oppressive to its people, and it doesn't offer many personal freedoms to its citizens, which are values that we, westerners, value very highly.

"China's government 10,000 times better than Iraqs democratic government?" So you think that communism is better than a republic or democratic government? Would be glad to pitch a few bucks in for a one way ticket for you to go to China.

In my opinion, there is NO way that a communist government will EVERY be better than a democratic government. The Iraqi government is very new and tumultuous. It will improve and settle down. They are having growing pains, as every new democracy does.

Hopefully a few Chinese citizens will enlighten you to the truth regarding the Chinese government, and as far as the new Iraqi government is concerned it's only common sense that unless much more drastic tactics are applied in order to hasten stability there, it's more than likely that Iraqi citizens will suffer a lengthy time of unnecessary hostilities...

We outsourced most of our industry to China. Over 30% of goods we buy are made in China. You think that China is a communistic nation. Think again.

It is a capitalistic nation with dictatorial leadership.

An American on a wilderness Island continues to be an American a jap on a wilderness Island isn't jap anymore. For jap identity is in line with Amae (candy interdependence) the place American identity is in line with individualism you may meditate in this whilst in seek of your answer... for my section i'm hoping they by no skill could desire to make this sort of transition. Their custom is lots too efficient. Humanity might go through a grave loss if the jap custom might disappear
