Another post on here has me asking, Do people really hate the poor and underpriveledged, and why???? It's interesting because you can have someone who is well off, but cold emotionally and down right mean get more respect than a good hearted person who is struggling. Why is this??? Do people just like to crap on someone else?

Most crap on others to make themselves feel better. Many rich and powerful people are sad and miserable deep down, and to compensate for that they dump on those they see as lower then them. They don't just hate the homeless and poor, they hate the working class and anyone they don't see as a peer. Heck, most of them hate their peers too. Now that I think about it, most rich and powerful people hate everyone and everything except for themselves and their power and money.

On the other hand, some people love the poor. Some people go out of their way to surround themselves with the little guys who have been kicked to the curb. Some people think that the meek shall inherit the earth (after the strong have all been raptured up to heaven to sit on god's hand and have their asses tickled like choir boys for being such good little minions having laid waste to the earthly mess below, leaving nothing but a planet sucked dry of every single resource for the purpose of elevating them closer to god in ever higher towers with more opulent decorations and adornments). Other people see that the poor and working class are the foundation of society, and without them there to hold up the rich and privileged classes, the entire shooting match would crumble.

So... Who's up for bucking the system?

Oh, and the post about the poor being leeches... Who's the bigger leech, the bum huddled under a bench in a park starving to death because nobody cares about him, or the CEO who has to be waited on hand and foot by hundreds just to have his entire little world revolve around him?

Who do you really think actually has more money spent on making them happy, the poor or the rich? Who does it cost more to cloth, to feed... What is that cost? Just because those rich people exploit others to make money off them doesn't mean they're earning it, and it doesn't mean the cost of their botox isn't being carried by all those little people down below. We're the ones footing the bills for their extravagant lifestyles. Who do you think pays for all the fancy parties and expensive houses. We do. Who do you think pays in the end when their gambles don't work out? We do.

properly, in case you're finding for a guy that hasn't substitute into wealthy in place of work, seem no farther than Joe Biden, whose internet worth is someplace between $2 hundred,000 and $3 hundred,000. Secondly, no person hates John McCain for marrying a wealthy lady and thereby starting to be to be wealthy. yet whilst McCain pretends to be a customary Joe and in touch with the struggles of the midsection class and whilst he is going around calling his opponent an elitist, then his wealth will substitute right into a concern of debate and his being out of touch would be noted. by employing the way, the main concepts-blowing same issues have been reported by employing the Republican occasion approximately John Kerry and his wealthy spouse final time 'around. Payback time.

I think it is because people believe that there are jobs out there that the poor can get and that they just don't want to work. If I know of someone that is poor and they have jobs and are trying, I feel sorry for them and wish them no ill will. However, if someone is poor because they don't work, I resent them. Now, you also have the mentally ill (a large part of the homeless population) and they should be taken care of through social services.

Nobody likes a loser.

Seriously - I don't believe the poor or disadvantaged are hated as a group, but then again - those that simply don't try hard enough to lift themselves up and prosper don't command much respect.

I'll go out of my way to help out the guy driving the 1960's POS that just broke down on him on his way to work. But I won't give the bum standing on a corner begging for change a dime.

Because the poor and disadvantaged are a reminder of what we "society" does not want to become. Where as the in society wealth is seen as desirable.

Because people are ignorant. How would they feel if they were in that person's place. Our problem is we assume to much. We assume because they're poor, they're lazy. Not always the case,
