I have always had pms but since I had my first child, it is unbearable. I dread that time of the month all month long. They last for two weeks then get REALLY bad the few days before, during which time I am barely able to function. I am fine other times.

Honey, "You definately Are NOT ALONE!!!" My sister & I used to get PMS, so bad, she'd miss work, because of hers. I used to get to where I wouldn't answer my phone, or have company at all during those days, and for both of us , it would last about 1-2 weeks, or sometimes only 3-4 days... I can tell you a sure way of taking care of that, or to help relieve some of the mood swings, and nervousness.... Get some pms-midol, it has the least sides-effects of any of the other brands, and it helps Tremendously!! Then, if your a coffe drinker, limit yourself to one cup, or none at all, if you crave sweets during that time, stay completely away from them, it only makes it worse!!! Carbs, too!! Eat, healthy fruits, & vegeez! Lay Low, and dont be afraid to let those closest to you, know, I need your support during this time of the month, and to please bare with me, you know!! Most women will understand, and even some guys...... If you have any kind of like sleep eze, to take at bedtime, to help you get really good sleep, that also helps, Tremendously!! Getting good sleep, during this insane time, of the month!! Laying low, until you get through it, and taking that midol !! Good-Luck, to you!! My Sympathy's !! Do your best to stay away from all cafeine, if you can help it, however!! Okay.. Hey, on a brighter note... "I hope You & Yours, will have a Wonderful, Safe, Peaceful , Healthy, & Prosperous New Year!!!" Smile!! It will all pass , before you know it !!!

I have had unusual periods since the birth of my child too, i'm not breastfeeding, and he is 15 months old now. Sometimes it'll be normal 3 or 4 days, other times its very light and lasts for 2-4 weeks. They aren't painful, just irritating.

i thought mine was just "baby blues", but it got worse, and worse yet again after my 2nd child. i sought help, and swore i'd never take medication, but i had no choice. i've been on medication now for almost 15 yrs. it doesn't "cure" everything, but i know my PMS could be 10 times worse, and i'd hate myself for it. medication is not for everyone, i would talk to a doctor and do some research, but it if was anything like mine, i'd highly suggest it.
good luck, and you are not alone, i know so many people that have changed since having children.
