trying again.....Is there a simple way to move an application from one hard drive to another in the same pc?

I moved a lot of programs to my new D: drive. To be safe though, just copy the folder to the new drive. Then change the name of the original foder to something you remember. Then right click on the icon or short cut that runs the program, select properties and change the drive letter in the program location and the startup folder. This way if it doesn't work you can undo the changes you made and you won't lose anything that is in the folder from when you first installed the program... When you see that all works well, which it will, just delete the old folder.

That could really pooch a windows registry, and the repair thing and dr watson would NEVER be able to decipher it. It is better to Unistall it the correct way and Install it to the other HDD.
Now you could Move it, that is very do-able and kinda easy.
Learn DOS or look it up and learn whatever Microsft is calling a Command Line these days, then its just a few switches, and the File is Moved.
But, make a backup, allways make a backup especaially before doing any System Changes or Installs or Deletes.

I would not recommend any way to do this other than remove the initial installation and re-installing the program. There are various settings that are initialized in the registry when you install and would be out of sync if you were to move the program without making the approrite adjustments.

If your hard disk is giving error messages it is cheaper to install a new hard disk drive and transfer all important data to the new hard drive. You are better off just reinstalling the program on your drive of choice. If you simple just move the program it may not run correctly
