When you throw a double the game allows you a second throw. If this is a double you can have a third throw. If this is a double you go to Jail but if the third throw is split dice then you move the right number of places and continue the game. After you throw your first double do you just rest on the place you land, throw again and move on until you have done your two or three throws? Or, do you follow the instructions on each landing place e.g. take a Chance Card, or buy it if it is a property, then throw and move on. Your turn can be up to three throws with the opportunity to do something on each place you land or it can be up to three throws with the opportunity to do something only on the last place you land. Which is it?

Each roll of a set of doubles counts as a full turn.. you play the 'hand' out as if it were a regular turn. ( Buy property, pay rent, go bankrupt, etc..) Then you pick them back up and roll again.. In essence it is up to two extra moves but, as you pointed out, if you roll them a third time you go to jail on that roll.

That is according to the official rules (paraphrased a bit)

your roll.......

According to the official rules, you treat each roll of the dice as a separate turn. The best way then to think about this is that you are just getting an extra turn when you roll doubles. You can do everything in that turn that you would normally do. You certainly interact with the spaces you land on, so the answer is yes you take the Chance card, yes you can buy the property if unowned, and a myriad of other things such as dealing, buying houses or hotels, etc. On the third instance of rolling doubles of course you go directly to jail. Do not even bother moving your piece to see where it would have landed.

Hope that helps!

you follow the instructions for each landing place, otherwise there is no advantage to throwing a double !

I am not sure but we play like if you get a double on your roll then you can roll again and if you roll another double then you go to jail and have to roll three doubles to get out. If you go to jail first then you still have to roll three doubles to get out.

you roll the dice and take your regular turn. After your turn is complete, if you rolled doubles then you roll again.
