Stopping individual and corporate welfare

and IMHO a BIG thing that should be addressed is unfair taxation.... we need to rid ourselves of the 'punnishment' tax system. Every person making over $12,000.00 needs to pay an equal percentage share of their income to taxes. No loopholes, not tax brackets, etc. Stop punishing those who actually put forth the effort and who are not lazy bums..... FLAT TAX is wayyyyyy overdue

whether or not to reinstitute slavery.

i am not suggesting it, but we are trying to make our racism as obvious as possible, and that's about all we could do to make it any more obvious. does anybody recall history class? our very first war, the one for independence? we'll get back to that.

senator lott advocated segregation just several years ago, yet he is still a senator today.
in 2001, there were ZERO black senators.
during katrina, we all saw the photos of black "looters" and white "scavengers."
the politician who called the black guy a monkey (macacaw) for NO reason was almost elected. further, despite the story getting national network coverage, his support never slipped. if the man hated blacks, that was okay with the people voting for him, it was not an issue.
we have several state flags that have the confederate flag on them. some people don't think that is a racist symbol, but that is like saying the nazi flag is not an anti-semitic symbol.
despite the fact that racism is so blatantly obvious in our society, while all this was unfolding, we ended affirmative action. and none of you bitched.
there were slaves in this country for 400 years. there have not been slaves for 150 years, so forget them, i know you want to.
before 1965, blacks had no rights. this is 2006, so any black person over the age of forty lived some period of his/her life without rights. every black senior alive today was refused the right to vote when they turned 18.
if they could not represent themselves just forty years ago how could the playing field be level today?

does anbody recall history class? our first war? what was the reason?

taxation without representation.

in 1964, every single black american was justified in declaring war on the white americans.

they didn't get their forty acres, no mule, no state to call their own, no nothing, except a very few black kids got seats in colleges for several years and now everything is straight?
the problem, they say, is the solution was racist. well, duh, the crime was racist, the victims were of a single race. if you rob me, my insurance should not pay unless everyone in my apartment complex gets robbed so that everyone can get paid and i will not be singled out? what singled them was that they were victims.
they still are. all you have to do is pick up any newspaper. skip the stories and go straight to the help-wanted ads. you see the EOE? most jobs don't have that printed in their ad. if i am black and read EOE, i know i am welcome to apply. if it does not, i have to wonder, does that mean, "*******, spics and jews need not apply?"
if i am white, i don't pay any attention, i just apply.

I have no doubt that the Republicans will figure out that the winning strategy is to distance themselves from the current administration, and blame the democrats for going along with Bush's plans.

And then, with the same kind of policies as Bush had, a new republican candidate who is "anti-bush" will be elected into office.

Wanna bet?

I believe that Iran will be big, and I think you'll start hearing talk of a military draft - get ready kids!

I think you'll also start hearing talk of more things here at home - immigration is taking quite a forefront in states right now, I think it's time we addressed it more seriously as a nation - for national security purposes - but it's a small issue compared to Iraq, Iran, Africa.

I think we're going to see some definite changes. I think that our leadership is going to take more of a "listen to the people" approach after our last six (soon to be eight) years in "Moronville".
