This is the effect of global warming which is caused by the burning of fossil fuels such as gas and coal and the clearing of trees. Clearing trees increases carbon dioxide levels and scientists believe carbon dioxide levels will double before 2050 to 750 parts per million.

And no, strictly it shouldn't happen but there are too many pollutants in this world. Some people however believe this is a natural process for us to get crazy weather which will eventually turn back to normal.

In fact, January 2006 was the hottest January on record in Toronto. I however believe this is nothing to freak about and some people *cough* tree-huggers *cough* are too concerned over this issue. One thing is certain however, don't expect too many white Christmases from now on.

And oh yeah, keep the hat.

The easy answer is to say that "global warming" is a result of burning fossil fuels, but I'm not so sure.

Firstly I no longer believe anything that Bush / Bliar say, and think that "Global Warming" is just a bandwagon they have jumped on to squeeze us for more taxes (anyway, how does us paying more tax stop Global Warming?).

Secondly I understand that the earth's temperature is affected more by solar activity, which goes through cycles. In the UK, 1959 was the sunniest and warmest of the last 50 years, and there weren't as many "greenhouse gasses" being produced then.

Winter has just started so I think you should wait a little longer. Now, I personally think it is going to get worse. Feb is going to be very cold. You wait and see. And if this is global warming, then I think it is nice.

Keep the hat on. It suits you. Personally I thought November and December have been blooming freezing, but on a global scale i think it's just going to get warmer.
