i enjoy satire but Family Guy has never been able to illicit a laugh from me before. i dont see whats funny about the pastiche of randomly interjected pop-culture references. its not like i dont appreciate humour; i like borat and ali g, i've watched seasons and seasons of anything from robot chicken, the mighty boosh, south park, simpsons... and even family guy... just to kill time... but Family Guy is just bland to me. i mean, what's so funny about Family Guy? or am i not dumb enough to get it?

LoL whats dumb is you trying to put urself on a pedestal and say that anyone who likes Family Guy is just below you. First off, Robot Chicken is terrible. Absolutely awful. The other shows you named I agree are hilarious, Simpsons isnt as funny but still good, and I dunno about "the mighty boosh". Do you enjoy Aqua Teen Hunger Force? Or the Squidbillies? Both great you should check them out if you already havent.
Anyways, Family Guy is hilarious, it makes fun of anything and everything and what I like about it is it has references of things that are accepted in America but in fact really and probably shouldnt be. It is alot like South Park in its ideas, not the way the show is projected but the same ideas. It also has ALOT of "thats so stupid its funny" parts that go along with the show as well as "where the hell did that come from" funny. Maybe you just dont like that sort of humor, but why try and belittle those who do?

Family Guy is just crude humor and it's the best. The funnest part of the hole show is that they get away with saying what they do on TV. The show has great writers and it keeps sick minded people like me entertained. I don't know how you could like South Park and not enjoy Family Guy? When you say the shows bland than seriously you have a week sense of humor or that you just don't get the references that's going on in the show.

I'm a hard score Simpsons fan and really don't find family guy that amusing. I usually don't watch it unless there is nothing else on. It's good for an occasional funny episode but they drag their "jokes" on for way to long. It's still better than American Dad, that is the worst piece of crap I've ever seen.

Family Guy IS funny. Just get into watching Stewie. He makes the show. Borat is not humor. It is just annoying. As Sly Stone said, different strokes for different folks!

Its very funny especially when you understand what the show is referencing. Maybe you don't understand all the pop culture references since some of them are quite obscure. Apparently this isn't your type of humor but there is no reason you should call the fans of the show dumb

Whenever you watch something and expect it to be funny and it isn't. its simply because it is not your kind of comedy style.
For example, my wife laughs at the sit come Friends but does not laugh at stand up comedy, no matter how good it is she doesn't find it funny.
She laughs at non-sense like Futurama but not Steven Wright.
So if something is not funny or entertaining maybe it is not in your taste and you should find something that matches your comedy style.

I think its funny, especially Stewie..some people have different types of humor, a lot of my friends hate Seinfeld and dont see the humor, but I think it's the funniest show that ever existed.
