i lived with a women for 8 years but we were never married.now we dont live together.we still have each others name on our passports wich was written to have fun.how can i remove her name from my passport?can i mary with a girl of my perrents choise?she has refused to do any kind of co-opration.please help me.

If you got the name of this lady on your passport declared as your wife then you made a big mistake for which if you now make any statement to the passport authorities that she was not actually your wife but just for fun you got her name added you can face criminal trail for making wrong statement before an authority along with that your passport will be conficticated & cancelled by them. I just dont understand why you people play with law & commit such mistake???? Dont you understand the implications & complications such things can lead you to Jail. Manu Sharma in his achololic,power,money influence shoot Jessica Lal & see where he stand now....!!!! Legal documents are not a things of joke mind you any wrong statements made in them put you behind bars & even if you think you will destroy this passport & get a new one then mind you whatever you stated in your last application for precuring this passport is in the records of the passport issuing authorities & any change of your statment will expose you before them. If you have to get her name removed from your passport then you either produced a divorce order or annulment order of the competent court or produce her death certificate from the municipality of your area. I dont understand what else you can do in such a case because the passport authorities will not agree on your simple affidivit regarding these two contigencies i.e. divorce or death they will definatelly ask you real proof for both. First get rid of this passport trouble then only think about marriage with a girl of your parents choise. PS. someone suggesting that just change your name & get a new passport its very simple this for information of you & all that such a cleverness has already been punished by courts in the well known Monica Bedi case, dont you people read newspaper????

Though you do not seem to be giving full facts, the answer is being given treating your question based on 'true' situation of life.
The passport is a legally valid & gazetted document. Even if you have got entered the name of your female partner in the column meant for wife just to have 'fun', you have created a legal record supporting the fact (non fact, as you maintain).
Now you have to get it removed in a legal manner only and that would require you (both) to file suitable declarations before an honourable court of law and get the whole thing ractified.
You had 'fun' together; you must close the chapter in a logical manner and that too, 'together'.
I am afraid; no other options.

well you are in 21st century but still you are indian so you need to understand indian culture , well if such thing had happened need not worry be confident & get a new passport . you should marry with your choice because it's your life

Where are you from? Is it customary for children to obey their parents' wishes when it comes to marriage? I for one don't believe in this. About the passports, just get a new one, have your name changed, it's very easy.

Sanjiv jee...yeh kya kar diya aapne????? what have you done???? you should date a girl instead of living with a girl!!!...it could have been got worse!!!....but anyways I think so your parents are Indian and its really difficult to explain it to Indian parents coz of our Indian values and culture!!!..lets see what happens...Sorry i can't give any suggestion coz I am in 10th grade and I have no ideas about this thing!!!!...

get a new passport.if you are not in love with anyone then you can go and marry the girl of your parent's choice.its nothing wrong to go for arranged marriage.it all depends how you to bring joy and happiness to your married life.stop worrying and go ahead.best of luck.

The passports are illegal because your names on the passport are illegal.
Just get a new passport.....both of you.
