no. it's a sad ending to a sad life.
the fact that he deserves it would not motivate me to want to stand on the sidelines.

No way. Coming from a country that got rid of capital punishment many years ago, I don't feel the need to witness such a horrific event. I know what he did to the people of his country was terrible and he indeed should be punished, but hanging just seems too nice for such a killer.

No I would not. I know that he has done some unspeakable things but I still believe that execution of any kind is barbaric and hanging is, 2nd to beheading, is the worst of all. The American lethal injection has also been proved to be inhumane. We as a country thankfully abolished hanging and we should at least objected to such an action.
A very good question though and it should bring forth a rich crop of answers from every corner of society.
Happy New Year.

no- why would anyone actually WANT to witness an execution? I'm sorry, but i for one don't get off on seeing someone suffer. Besides, who are we to judge? Saddam Hussein's judgment day will come sooner or later.

No... As a member of Amnesty International. To put someone to death is a volation of that person's most fundamental human rite. The rite to live... I know that Saddam was guilty of murder and torturing people over the years of his brutal dictatorship. But that does not give any goverment the right to kill one of it's citizens... Thank you...

Yes. Just for the fact that otherwise you hear things like oh that wasn't really him. Or it was a look alike. I need to know he's really dead and no longer a threat to anyone.

No, although I do think he deserves the sentence.
I think it should be a public execution as well, to give the people some consolation that he is in fact dead.

No...because I do not believe in the death sentence anyway and I think it is funny that a fundamentally Christian country still practises that barbaric rite.

No way, I'm kinda against his hanging, and think he should be killed in some other way, possibly lethal injection? I'm not sure whether he deserves to die, because I know he killed loads of people, but I'm totally against the death penalty.
What kind of sick person would want to witness his hanging, it just makes me feel sick.
