it depends on where the egg implants itself. i had a boy and you could harly tell at 6 months i was pregnant then all of the sudden boom BOom BOOM i was huge. i gave 42 pounds in my 9 months. dont worry . my friend could wear all her clothes and you couldnt tell she was pregnant she had a baby girl. wait till 9 months and then say i dont look pregnant.. this is where your baby starts gaining the weight. good luck take a breath and congrats your doing great

i had the same problem. I only gained 18 pounds by the time I was 26 weeks and I still only looked like I was 2-3 months pregnant. My OB/midwife told me that if you're tall and you were fairly active before you got pregnant, than you may not get as big as others. I used to dance, I was in the drumline for 5 years, and I'm also 5'7 and she said that my height has a lot to do with my weight gain. It's not that you're small it's just that your weight is being distributed in other places, like your breasts and your hips. You may not notice it, but that's probably where most of it is going. I am 35 weeks now, and in the past 2 weeks I have gotten HUGE! And you can just now tell that I'm pregnant when I say 'hey I'm 35 weeks'. your weight will come closer to the end, if you are anything like me and you will get not HUGE, but you will really start to show and people will be able to tell more, like with me. It's nothing to worry about. Your body's just filling out in the other places it needs to and preparing for all the changes is all. Once it's done with your hips and breasts, you're stomach will stretch and get bigger.
Good Luck!!

Actually, you're doing great and if you stay at this pace weight-wise, you'll have very little extra weight left over after you have your baby.
I only gained 12-14 lbs. myself during my entire pregnancy and my doctor was very happy about that. I really could have gotten along without maternity clothes, but was so happy about being pregnant (and admittedly a little disappointed that I didn't get larger) that I got some anyway!

you could just be carrying really low. it depends on the position of the baby. i was 8 months pregnant and people still didn't know I was pregnant (kinda made me feel good, but then i thought about it and I could tell I was pregnant so other ppl must have just thought I was fat, which made me mad! lol) Don't worry about it until your doctor has concerns. I'm 9 months pregnant and I don't look it at all. There are women who are due after me and are larger than I am. Good Luck!

Every pregnancy is different. I am at 35 weeks and have only gained 11 lbs but the doc says my baby is about 5 lbs already... I was overweight to begin with and that is the reason I haven't gained much.... the only one you have to answer to is yourself and your doctor.

Actually it is normal. It is all in how your body chooses to carry the pregnancy. People didn’t even believe my Aunt was even pregnant when she would tell them she was 8 months along.

Some women don't show until the last couple of months. Some show from the beginning. If your doctor doesn't seem concerned about your size, don't stress yourself about it either

Just consider yourself lucky. My assumption is that you were very fit before you became pregnant. As long as the Dr says you are OK, don't worry.

Because of your build, the way the baby is lying, and how strong your abdominal muscles are.
It is totally normal.
