I didn't but I went to chat rooms a few times and it turn to be nasty...people were asking me naughty questions..so I stop.
On other hand my husband friend from work he meet a girl through some singles site.They wrote to each others only a few times and he invite her to his house for a weekend...and guess what? She never come back to her house.They got married and he adopt her 3 kids.They are together for a few years now.In very happy marriage!

My grandmother met her man on an AOL chatroom. They chatted for two years, visited a few times and are about to celebrate their 9th wedding anniversary. He is a wonderful man.
I met my husband on eHarmony.com. I was just 'checking it out', but ended up finding the love of my life. We've been happily married for over two years and are often told by others how 'right' we are together.
I've also met some weirdos on different sites and in chatrooms. Be careful of who you decide to communicate with. Eharmony is nice because they do the matching for you based on a personality profile you take. It was a great experience for me. :)

He Yahoo IM me...after chatting on a regular basis (everyday) for about 1.5 months we decided to meet. Starbucks-a very busy one. We did that a few times, then met a few times at local pubs...meanwhile we maintained our chatting on a daily basis. Then we started to become more intimate and dated privately. Very Hot and passionate relationship for 2 years. He moved away, but we still email back and forth about 1 once or twice a month so see how the other is doing. He's one of my dearest friends and introduced me to my current interest before he moved away.
Oddly, there was no desperation involved, it was and continues to be one of the most open, healthy, communicative and kind relationships I've ever had with a man. And that includes my current relationship w/ his friend who I chatted with before meeting as well.
But regardless, always, always put your safety first. I've met 2 others...turned out there wasn't any attraction...but no harm done.

Yeah, I met a guy 4 a million/2 years in the past in a chatroom and met him in guy or woman a pair of week later. This replaced into the 1st time for me to try this. besides, we've been jointly ever when you consider that and ultimately have been given married in Vegas final July=D

met someone @ a coffee house fr Yahoo dating, pic look good, in person DIFFERENT story!! and more not so good truths came out when talked in person, didn't click, also don't let family set you up, went out with sister-in-laws neighbor I paid for 1st two dates( I KNOW, Why a 2nd Date?!) I am open on paying or going dutch sometimes, but gimme a break!! He's still tryin 2 hook up, Wonder why!!!
