Reinstall IE 7 - some installs just break - that is rare but happens.

If that does not help?

No reason to continue with that browser if it does not do what You want. IMHO downgrade until they solved their bug. You are not their Guiana pig after all. It is not the first and only piece of new software that shows bugs on some machines.

Newer is not always better - never change a piece of working software. New software often has bugs.
Only change when You got a reason.

My Reason for this opinion: The next generation of software often has more code and needs more resources - so it will not run smooth on older machines - it will not respond all the time ( has no resource to respond right away - has to free resources first ).
That is even true if there are no bugs.

Besides if You want a new browser: there are other continuously developed browsers: SeaMonkey, Firefox, K-Meleon, Opera to mention 4 that are available in en-US - and there are more.
They are less buggy, faster and use less resources.

If You do not have a really modern machine i would recommend K-Meleon that will run smooth and respond well on anything that came after the 486 ;-)

And IE7 is the most resource hungry current browser.
It has the biggest download archives of currently common browsers.

If You opt to try another. You can leave IE in place to go to MS site & get Your OS updates (MS wants that). I have several browsers installed, so can You - nobody says only one is allowed ;-)

You can even have several IE while MS tries to let You have only one :-)

A stand alone MSIE 5.01 for example uses little resources and is fast - the only disadvantage is that the original developer Microsoft abandoned it & started to make bloated browsers later.

So there are no security fixes. But mind me: there are no real security fixes for IE 5.5 to IE 7 either.

Bad boys like me say: all IE are best used to download a dedicated stand alone browser that is not so deeply routed inside OS and a potential security nightmare just because of that.

Hello their, you don't mention what version of window's you have, ?
and you don't say either what exactly is not responding with IE7 ?
I have IE7 installed with media player 11, both are working very well.
the only difference with my copy of IE7 is that it was " NOT " installed on to my computer replacing IE6, it was installed as part of windows updates, you see I done a partial recovery on my computer which wiped out any form of explorer, I had nothing there, so when IE7 was downloaded it was installed from fresh, and maybe that is why my copy is working so well. it was not installed on to my pc using old components from IE6.
this could be your answer as well to your problem. good luck

Internet Explorer 7 is appalling, nobody likes it. I suggest you revert back to 6.

You only need to do a search on here to see how many people are having problems with IE7. The best thing to do is download Mozilla Firefox available from http://www.mozilla.com/ Its faster, more user friendly, easily customisable to suit your needs and no problems.

Hi.
This is not an original answer, but I'll put my weight behind the Firefox brigade- upgraded to it a couple of years ago without a glitch.
Happy new year.

Yep, I go with the tide on this. Dump IE7 & either revert to IE6 or get Firefox.
