I know that if you plug a iPod into a computer it can charge a little bit, but where can you by a charger for it? And how much does it cost?

Apple sells a thing you can plug into a wall socket, it lets you charge ipods and you can hook up your internet connection for wireless connectivity (like a wireless router with less ports but a USB).

Also, you can get docks for your ipod that also charge them, as well as play music through speakers... is this a new shuffle or old? I know the old ones work with ipod docks. Get one from a third party, cheaper than an apple dock.

you can usualli get a car charger one cant u? i think i seen that somewhere, not quite sure.
