I'm not too techincally inclined, but I have a terrific idea. Is there a company that will create a blueprint for my idea? If so, how can I protect my idea from being sold to Motorola, etc? Just really not sure where to start. Any feedback, websites or whatnot would be really helpful.

You can protect your idea by patenting it, but you should be prepared to pay some serious money. Filing a patent application will cost you about $250, but the application must be professionally prepared, otherwise the patent examiner will simply reject it because she won't be able to understand it. Preparation will cost you at least a few thousand dollars (more if you are going to need help from a professional engineer).

You can start by looking for a law firm specializing in patent law in your area.
