Everyone is being lead to believe he will die because otherwise u will wonder what he does after the books are over, which i think is, honestly, stupid (no offense to anyone) because if he DOES die, well then you're gonna wonder what happens to his friends and family and if Voldermort will take over or something. So either way you're gonna wonder. I'd rather wonder what harry does later, so I hope he doesn't die, BUTif they can kill (you know who...don't want to spoil it if u haven't read the 6th book) then they might kill Harry out.

This is a direct quote from JK's personal website:

Q: The prophechy Harry hears in Dumbledore's office suggests to me that both he and Voldemort will have to die, is that true?

A: Both Madam Trelawney and I worded the prophecy extremely carefully and that is all I have to say on the subject!

From the above info, it sounds like Harry must die. However, I hope that doesn't happen. I love my Harry Potter books/movies. I wish she would write more than seven but it wouldn't matter how many she wrote because whenever she stopped you would always want more. It's like watching a great tv series taken off the air! LOL

There is always a possibles of having that happen because the writer R.K. may have ran out of that great creative storyline.

So would you want harry to stil alive and then what would his adventures be? Do you see what I'm getting at. Its hard to continue writing when the people who read harry potter might be getting tired of Harry. (impossible you say??)
Well, do you remember any other childhood stories that you couldn't do without and now where are they in your life.

Have a Good Day and Happy New Year.
Love and Peace
:-)

I used to read Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys books but I don't now because I outgrew them and just like Lowing she had outgrew harry.

I thought I read an interview somewhere where J.K. Rowling said that she wouldn't kill him... But I might be wrong...

But I think that it is in Ms. Rowling's personal interests to kill him off. For one thing, she might be hit with Mark Hamill's curse of being remembered for only one cultural phenomenon after Potter 7 and curse herself completely when she moves on to other projects (which she will). The best way to avoid that would be to completely destroy any chances of continuing the Harry Potter series by killing the poor bloke off.

After all, who wouldn't like to see HP continued? I'm sure the hard-core fans would kill to read "Harry Potter and the Wedding Disaster", "Harry Potter and the Baby Who Wouldn't Sleep" and "Harry Potter and the Golden Retirement"...

I'd like to think that J.K Rowling would have a sense of humour about Harry's passing, if he does. After all of the battles with evil that he has won, wouldn't it be an @rse if he died tripping over his shoelaces and falling into a well or something.
Having said that, I don't think she will kill him off, but only time will tell.

Sorry , "Harry Potter is a real person??" You believe this and that knocking that you hear , is the men in the white coats, who have a lovely white jacket for you that laces up the back!!.
I have no imagination when it comes to childrens stories.I find it a bit frightening that grownups who can read and write, would believe fiction.(something that is unreal or made up)

Infront of every great show, the curtains must drop. Whether Harry stays in the story line or not, life as we no it, must some day come to an end.

i think of that if Harry does die, then there does not be to any extent further books that would desire to be written. yet while he did no longer die, then there'll probable be yet another e book or of his existence after Hogwarts. So i think of if Harry does die, then there heavily isn't anymore books.
