I really hope that TNA goes to more than just an hour show every week (Impact). They have an incredibly strong mid-card just oozing with talent. It would be nice if we could see them going to a style similar to the WWE show, with a Smackdown and Raw type show (without the brand split of course). This sould give some time to develop storylines and showcase all of their roster

2 hours. They could technically 3 or more.

Whereas wwe needs less shows (really, at least 3/4 of ecw and sd is crap) TNA has so much talent that doesnt get a chance for storylines.

They have 9-11 serious heavyweight contenders alone. You cant fit that many storylines in an hour.

On top of that theyre is about a half dozen tag teams and a outstanding x-division that gets no airtime.

But im not big on the brand split idea. It just hurts a shows overall performance. The split is the worst thing thats happened to wwe

This would be great. 2 hours every Thursday night would be good. 2 hours every MONDAY night would be great. Vince Russo, the head writer of the WWF/WWE during the "Attitude Era," is now booking for TNA. Believe me, he has more than enough ideas to keep 2 hours rolling. Hopefully, a 2 hour TNA program will challenge the WWE to break out of its lazy booking style and dare to do more than its current "DX - Cena - Batista" focus. TNA needs to take this in small steps, though. But they certainly have the financial backing to make this work. What they need is ratings now at the 9 pm slot to make the jump to a 2 hour show. Once that show is solid, then they should start thinking about Monday nights. Ever since WWE bought WCW and ECW, there has been no true competition. Whenever there's no real competitor, WWE's quality has always dipped and the product becomes terribly dumbed-down. A vibrant TNA means everybody wins. TNA strives to gets ratings. WWE strives to keep the ratings. The fans get a lot of wrestling from two companies actually trying to win their attention.

TNA doesn't need a dumb brand extension if they get another hour. They need another hour though to showcase all talent. It's a must. It's about time, TNA is doing better in the ratings department hitting record 1.2's lately. May not sound like a big number, but hey, it's a new company that's still rising hopefully. Spike has piddled around to long. If I'm TNA I'd look elsewhere also. Spike TV is jerking them around, and I bet still in kahoots with WWE. That's the only style of wrestling Spike new before they saw TNA. TNA seem to had to change their style b/c of Spike's knowledge of WWE programming. TNA if get on FOX or still on Spike should stick to their original plans of just wrestling and none of this 20 minute HHH promo stuff, b/c Spike only knows WWE.

I'd love for them to go to two hours (if the ratings keep up they'll likely get it sometime in 2007). I think they are going to pay attention to how they do when they go head to head when RAW will air on Thr one week due to USA covering another event in Feb. If they hold their viewers, that'll be another good sign.

My fear for the two hours is that they will slow down. I love the pacing of the ring action... definitely no boring "rest hold" periods, constant replay highlights (love that they don't do that like in WWE) and even the regular action is faster than WWE. I'd want them to keep everything the same, just fit in more matches and promo time.

i heard today that spike has offered them a 2 hour slot and they just need a financial agreement. it needs it because they are burying people like the truth and putting loadsa people in one storyline like sting, abyss, christian, tomko and jim mitchell. then what about when joe and angle finish fueding, theyll have even more going for the title. then theres a massive x-division and tag team.

Thats my dream for them. So much talent, so little time for one hour.
