Yes, I agree with you. I hear it just like you. And the reason it makes us depressed is because it scares us so bad. It makes you wonder when is it your turn huh? If we use this in a positive way and enjoy life eveyday like it is our last we should be ok. I sometimes think that is why I spend alot of time on here trying to help people, because there is hope and it is not as bad as turning on the t.v. and finding out about all the death that has happened while I was sleeping.

The news was invented to make you sad, that's why they show nothing but sadness. You need to get out and put your time to better use. Why not volunteer at a hospital in the maternity ward? You could go and read at a library to the children during story hour. There is so much life out there to see and you are missing it because you are infront of the t.v or listening to the radio. If you are religious, read the bible and pray for GOD to guide you. If not, then I will pray for you to find your way and embrace life. Thank you and GOD bless.

I no longer watch news nor read the paper.....no one ever reports on good things. If I do watch TV, it is usually cartoon network, or a comedy.

Contribute to the community, work at a homeless shelter, or donate to a haven house or children's hospital. Helping someone who is just barley holding on, but won't give up hope, know you can make a small difference, a little bit of good, it leaves you with a good feeling.......and may just boot that depression.

Two things you need to know about life, don't sweat the small stuff, cause it's all "the small stuff".
And Life; no one gets out of it alive.

Try adopting some good hobby like painting, reading books or even gardening i.e being nearer to the nature and you will not get depressed but it will cut down your TV time. Enjoy your life to the best since you live only once.

First - stop watching TV and listening to the radio unless it is just entertainment (preferably some comedy) .....Second get outside and walk around - get some exercise. Third, read a book.

Been there, I stopped watching the news and began watching more constructive shows. Animal Planet, Home Improvement stuff, things like that. It did help.

I agree. That's why I watch the weather and that's it. Most of the time, my wife and I rent movies. The news is all about death. The end of days are near unfortunately. So, just try to be happy, and not watch the news. LOL!!!

PARTY ON!!!! PEACE TO YOU AND YOURS.

Damn right. Thats when you shut everything out and listen to the most awesome tunes. Focus on your life and not others for the moment. Did you know that when you are happy, the majority of people that are hanging with you or are around pick-up on the vibe and pass it around.
