I just got a brand new 30gb iPod video. I'd like to use it while going to the gym and weight room which I usually go. I'm just not sure if I should because of the risk it could get damaged. I've got a protective skin for it with a screen cover but I don't wanna have to clean it all the time. What do you think ??? If not, I'll just keep using my old MP3 player for workouts.

The bad thing about an iPod video is that while they have TONS of storage space, but they are sort of big and clumsy. I'm not sure if if came with like a belt clip or something. I don't recomend using it for workout purposes. If you wanted an MP3 player just for that purpose, I would get one of the new iPod shuffles.

Hard-drive based MP3 players can be more sensitive to bumps... I wouldn't risk damaging it.
