They can't avoid smog or exhaust any better than the rest of us. Amish people aren't forbidden from riding in cars, they're just forbidden from owning them. I think perhaps you might have a highly romanticized view of the quaint people with the buggies living off the land. They eat the same food you and I do, they just have different rules on how it can or cannot be prepared. As more and more of the Amish population moves away from subsistence farming due to a shortage of land, they become increasingly reliant on getting food from outside sources. And some Amish do smoke; depending on the rules of the district where an individual resides, smoking is not uniformly forbidden in the religion.
As someone else already mentioned, the Amish do, by in large, have terrible problems with genetic diseases due to what is called the "founder effect," where the entire US population can trace its roots down to a few hundred European immigrants. So I don't think you could write the entire religion a sweeping clean bill of health, any more than one could say the same for Mormons, who also abstain from most of what you've mentioned.

I did not realize that this was a fact. However, it would make a great deal of sense to me. And yes for all of the reasons that you stated. Also, they work their land by hand without the aid of modern machinery, and they grow and produce their own food. God bless****

I don't know how far it is true physically, but spiritually they are pretty healthy. You probably heard about the recent shooting in their community and all of them came together and prayed for the victims as well as forgave the shooter. They are a witness for what love and forgiveness can do. Now thats a spiritually healthy lifestyle. God bless them.

In that sense, maybe, but they also have a high incidence of genetic disorders. I would say overall, no.
