Yes sir.

I once decided to see if once you delete things from your recycle bin you can find them again... So I downloaded a software and I started to search in my deleted files?! :O <-- yes thats how I looked.

You can search through the files you've deleted! They are still there. But there are ways to shred your documents when you delete them so that they not retrievable, or at least not in identifiable form. I guess if there's something you want to hide, and hide well, it's safest if you turn to use a shredder.

TuneUp Utilities is a tool that allows you to shred documents as well as scan your computer for registry errors, manage your start up files, the look and performance of your machine, etc. etc...

I recommend you download it and get accustomed to using it... it's a very dandy tool (and it's free...)

Here's the download link for TuneUp Utilities 2006
http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.html?tg=dl-20&qt=tuneup%20utilities&tag=srch

And if you do download and install it.. in the future when you want to delete something... right click on the file and in the drop down list of options you will get a new option(after installing tuneup) that allows you to "shred with tuneup shredder"... this will do the trick.
;)

Hope that helped

Yes, you could download "coffecup privacy cleaner" and set it to clear all the stuff you want to get rid of and overwrite the files 7 or more times - that should make it imposable to find your tracks.

If you don't also delete 'temporary Internet files" and "index.dat" files your tracks still remain for others to follow. The above mentioned program will do this for you and more.

Yes it can still be looked at. However the average computer user is not going to have the skills or expensive programs to retrieve the information.

I use a program called Cleanup every time I log off. Works great.

Download CleanUp---http://www.stevengould.org/software/cleanup/

Free disk space, make your computer run better/faster and protect your privacy - all in one easy solution. All for free!

Yes, there are many spots in which this info is stored. You can also be tracked via your "cookies" and index.dat files which contain lists of every site you've visited.
