I think the major ones are jealousy and envy, not being thankful for what it is, you have been blessed with!

This answer may sound simplistic, like maye there was little thought that was put into it or may come off as condescending, all of which is accurate, but none of that takes away from the true fact that HUMANS are the underlying cause of all the miseries in human life. (think about it...they are the one unifying characteristic of all human problems)

The cause of all misery is feeling.
There is no single answer and the causes are too
many to count.
The corruption of power is a big one.
Not liking oneself.
Misdirection of anger.
Lack of humility.
Not being centered in oneself.
Bad parents.
Gullibility.
Bad adjustments in childhood.
The very neurotic world we live in.

the hindu philosophy believes and advocates that our good deeds and bad deed are the reason for our pleasure or problems. if u does good deeds u r account will be credited. otherwise it will be debited. for good deed u will enjoy wi the blessings of the god. for bad deeds u have to face punishment. but as far as possible we have to help others candidly. this gives us satisfaction. for every misiery there will be a reason as said above.
