My friend has been with this guy for over a decade and besides being his gf, she has also been helping him in his career and to build up his business. He cheated on her once but she took him back. Now he has cheated on her a second time and this time he wants out. My friend is heartbroken and feels totally lost now. Besides being a listening ear, is there anything else I can do to help?

Be her friend! She is really vulnerable right now and probably feels great rejection and shame. Do not make a move on her! If you are only a friend, be there to let her tell you how she hurts. Girls need to do this. If you want to be more than a friend (you're a guy, right?) do the same thing. Do not push her into a relationship with you during this time of weakness. It will only backfire and cause a lot more pain for both of you.

Just be around. Take your cues from her. Give her time to mourn. Don't trash talk the guy. Just listen. Time will heal.
There is a book, titled, "Rebuilding when your relationship
Ends" You can get it used on Amazon.com. It will become her bible. It addresses ALL the feelings and stages of a breakup. Buy it for her. It is like $12.

I think being a listening ear is all you can do, just be there for her and try to help her get over him. Just tell her he was a jerk and didn't deserve her anyway. Hope she gets over it.

Just listen and be supportive. Do not offer advice, when you are in pain you can't hear it. Give her time and just be there.

Time cures most everything.
