Please note that Yahoo deleted the word "note" from the above additional detail. They must have something against grammar.

To be humbled by an evening sunset, to be in awe of a newborn baby, to give reverence to the one who created them.

Nothing is so large as a Humans understanding of ignorance, with this understanding we assume to know what an Extra Ordinary is. We create fantasies and explanations that can be understood in human conception, but we have no idea of the scale. We assume that the Universe is huge, and that is what we are taught. Yet the Extraordinary, the whatever it is that made a God or Gods actuall, is way beyond explanation and human understanding. Therefore when and if you are ever near or approaching The Mystery that is, humble yourself for the great Mystery that is to follow.

Kierkegaard felt that the "mystery" of life, god, the universe, and everything might be out of the range of the philosophical inquiry. He was walking a fine line between doubting the personal god of the Judaeo-Christian belief system and comming to grips with a more abstract concept of the divine. The "extraordinary" is what many would refer to as "the great mystery" - the belief that somehow god is "out of bounds" of human understanding. Kierkegaard, then, insists that we must approach this great mystery with an almost overwhelming sense of awe and reverence, rather than approaching it from our egotistical belief that we can understand and conquer anything.

taking a small phrase out of the context in which it was originally presented is never a good idea that said the very words speak for themselves you are advised to be very humble and pay what he feels is the correct amount of attention to and admiration for things that are extraordinary in this life.... we live in a world that is getting more and more immune to the great happenings around us as we are taught to be immune to violence and many other things thru desensitization from movies, video games and TV the more that happens the less we pay attention to the real things that go on around us that are truly extraordinary and should be looked upon with an understanding of their true worth in our lives

He felt that only when you recognize that God is to placed above ALL else will you truly be virtuous. You cannot bow low enough before God. You can never be humble enough before God.

Appreciate and taste the beauty of the truth... learn how small we are in comparison and then seek the ultimate truth.
