About five miles to the west of the City Centre at Ingleston.

Take the Airport Coach service operated by Lothian buses (service 100). It will take you to the heart of the City at Waverley Bridge via Princes Street. The coach is cheaper than a taxi, it is frequent and it has the benefit of the many bus lanes from Maybury Roundabout via Corstophine and Haymarket.

Excellent bus service (Number 100) from immediately outside the terminal to the city centre. £3 one way, £5 return. Very quick and trouble free and frequent enough not to worry about missing one.

The problem is that it stops on Waverley Bridge, which is admittedly convenient for the train station, being right ON TOP of the train station, but there is a journey of sveral hunderd yards uphill to the main coach station (confusingly referred to as St Andrew Square Bus Station) which is very well hidden away. Easy for the locals to find, but strangers would walk straight past it. If you're travelling on by long-distance coach ( the economical way) print out a map from the web and ASK your way.

The airport is a few miles west of the city.

You can get a taxi into the centre (about £15) or a bus (I think it's £5 return).

Have a good time!
