This is unpleasant, but if you eat a raw onion, like an apple, then go to sleep the cold will be gone the next morning. Use a round onion rather than a shallot or green onion.

The last cold I had was in 1986, and it lasted a day and a half. After I realised I had a cold, I ate all the onion I could stand, about half of it, went to sleep and woke up feeling great the next day.

Yes, I have and it's making me angry. This just won't let up.I usually bake cookies and things for work at Thanksgiving and Christmas but I've been sick since before Thanksgiving.

It's not uncommon Linda. When the nasty stuff in your lungs starts to loosen up and come out when you cough.... That's when you're getting better.

yeah usually get one when the first leaf falls in september and it stays until about april or may when spring arrives!
