This may seem like a silly answer, but trust me, it's genuine.

Try local church halls, community centres, or schools.

Many times they have such items in storage that they will never use again, and may even pay you to take them away.

I say this through experience, as I used to do sound and light rigs for many local church halls and community centres, and the stuff I was given was unbelievable, that they no longer needed.
