It depends on what the situation is. If I'm at work and I really cannot avoid contact with this person, I tend to poke and prod periodically just to get a rise out of them. It makes the situation more enjoyable, and if I'm lucky, the person will get the point and will leave me alone.
If it is somebody I only see a few times, I will just ignore and move on. It is not worth my time and effort to bother with annoying people if they can be avoided.

I try to ignore them, but sometimes it depends on what kind of mood I am in. Everyone has their limits.

I ignore them at first, and if they still make an azz out of themselves i tell them to stop talking, they are annoying everyone and you are making yourself look bad.

most of the time I'll just ignore them. If it's something they keep doing over and over again, I confront them.

umm.... depends on my mood. Sometimes I "fuel their fire" and sometimes I ignore them... it also depends on the amount of alcohol in my system... I hope that clears things up...
