I've seen quite a bit of coverage, but I also think it's how Ford chose to live his life after. He wasn't in the public as much. Reagan was a showman from start to pretty close to the end, so there is a lot more to draw from. Ford focused on his life and golfing. He wasn't going and drawing attention to himself. All the charity things he did he did quietly he was a low keyed figure. he deserves the best of coverage, he did things with dignity and grace.

I don't understand why but some people thought Reagan was a really big deal.

Also after Ford left office he lived a relatively quiet life...out of the public eye.

Here in NYC metro, Ford is all over the news. Never seen so many stories about Ford. It's kind of ironic that Ford is now seen as a important transitional president from Watergrate/Vietnam to Cold War posturing since he outright told NYC to Drop Dead when the fiscally shaky city asked the federal government to bail it out in the 1970s.

Number one, Reagan was considered one of the greatest Presidents ever. Ford's presidency was tainted and short. Tainted because he pardoned Richard Nixon. Short because he wasn't in office for even two years I don't think. He was also never elected to the presidency and referred to himself as "the accidental president."

Maybe because Reagan was a more popular president.

It could be because Ford said that George W. Bush's war in Iraq is a mistake....

I've seen quite a bit on Ford's passing, but I think we'll see more starting today and when the funeral, etc. begin.

Ford's death has been all over the news, have you checked your tapes correctly of Reagan's death? Even Clinton's death will be mentioned when he dies.
