This is more of an ethical question than biological. While I was married, My ex got pregnent. She had a beutiful little girl whom I love. However, I'm almost possitive that the ex cheated on me. She knows a guy that had other children that look really simular.I'm the one who is being charged with child support while this other guy walks around depositing sperm in anything that will take it. Without saying,"If you love her, why does it matter?" How do I deal with facing jail time for support when I'm not working at times, and this %#*&^@(& walks around without a care?

Ever hear of DNA? Paternity testing? For your own peace of mind, get tested. Doubting forever, that the child is yours, will affect your relationship permanently. Even if the possibility that she is some other guys child is correct, it may not change your legal obligation; but parentage is about a lot more than just money.

Legally you are responsible for that child because you guys were married when she conceived and delivered making you that child's father until you prove other wise. If you are not sure don't get you self more emotional involved just to find out that the little girl you loved for all this time is really not yours. Protect yourself and the feelings of others. That does not make you a bad person if you were to get a DNA it just makes you a smart person because you are thinking of not only yourself but you are thinking about everybody involved.

You can have a blood test done, but you accepted the child as yours when you were married and nothing has really changed, it sounds like you are looking for a way to get out of child support.

DNA, consider it, especially if u run the possiblity of getting popped for criminal non-support when the child is not even urs/ That doesnt mean u dont love the child, its setting ur priorities straight! Request DNA testing, where ur child support obligation order was filed.

You need to go and get a paternity test. And if the test comes back and proves that you are not the father you need to demand that you receive your money back. It was pretty irresponsible to take your ex at her word and believe the child was yours if you know she was cheating.

just b/c a child does not look does not mean its not yours so dont make any rash decisions but if your not sure you should go take a dna test its better to find out now than later and depending on how old the child is if its not yours you may be able to let go but if its 10 yrs from now and you find out she does not belong to you it could hurt more than just you and could leave the child with issues

If you suspect that you're not the father, demand a paternity test. If I'm not mistaken, she and the court cannot charge you child support until the results are in.

LOOKING AT THE big picture you cheated too, any ways, take all the tests to show if you are or are not the father. if you are u have a beautiful baby girl to watch grow up if not then she will persue the other guy (%#&@&). Look at things a little more positive
in this situation! good luck !

DNA will prove or disprove who is responsible for the child. so get it done if u have concerns this child doesn't look like u, intuition is rarely wrong and u are probably correct, so get the DNA, for your own satisfaction.
