Would bush-supporters think he was a liberal anti-American traitor? Afterall, they'd rather get a question deleted than answer it.

And instead of standing up and speaking his mind, the pathetic excuse for a leader stood up yesterday and applauded Ford and his reign as President. HMMMMM - hypocritical? What ever happened to 'You are with us, or against us'. I'd like to think that it was his own good taste that prevented him from speaking his true mind, but in fact, he has never shown good taste or evidence of having a true mind. So better to just read the words he was handed and continue speaking out of both sides of his mouth.

Bush is extremely spry for his age and Rumsfeld would probably not damage Bush's possibilities. besides the indisputable fact that, Cheney and his susceptible heart will be no help in any respect. Putin, on the different hand is a experienced Judo specialist and would kick the crap out of the three of them blended.

No because it would fall under freedom of speech which is protected under the constitution. No I would not and don't feel that way about former president Ford's opinion. Everybody has that right and lately it seems that the left is making an issue out of this rather than remembering Ford for moving forward with America.

When Nixon resigned who was in his cabinet? Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, and The first Bush was head of the CIA then.
Ford pardoned Nixon. This all ties together, same players.
If Ford strongly disagreed, why didn't he come out before he died? He asked to wait to after his death for the tapes to be released. I wonder why?

I am a Bush supporter but not much of a Bush fan. I would regard him as I do Jim Baker or other conservatives that have not supported going into Iraq. Those that I have labeled as anti-American or unpatriotic are those that oppose the US just for the sake of opposing the US. They are the ones who believe that the US is the cause if all the world's ills due to our prosperity and dominance.

You are assuming Bush supporters can think for themselves, lol. Since there is little proof of that, your question is moot. All Ford did was bring confidence back to the American people concerning the office of The President after Nixon's lies. All Bush has done is install fear into the everyday lives of ordinary Americans. People who know better are labelled as Liberal this, Neo-Con that, anti, this , anti that. The American way is to support your leaders when they deserve it, question them when they don't. Take your pick.

you are right on, pal.
Notice on how most "answerers" are reacting to your question:
They claim it's a fake from the media, they think it doesn't have anything to do with Iraq, or they wonder why the tape wasn't realeased until now...
basically, they are in denial.
those people would be unable to face the truth if it knocked on their door on Christmas eve.
They prefer to stay in and watch Fox News...

Well I skimmed the manuscript and I didn't see anything at all about the war in Iraq. Even so I would still love and respect President Ford for being a great man and a wonderful loving President. And he has the right (as all US citizens have the right, to his opinion.)

To me all it proves is that the liberal media will jump on anything and twist it to their own agenda.

Ok, first of all, this comes from Bob Woodward, notorious liberal. Second, it comes out AFTER President Ford's death, so it can't be verified. In my personal opinion, it is highly suspect.

Yes, I believe they would. Along with all the folks who support our troops by putting a "support the troops" bumper sticker on their car. He would be unpatriotic, a coward, a weasel and on top of that he'd probably want to take everyone's guns away.

Because...that's happened in the past...(sarcasm).
