Yes, but do it before you accept the job offer - you have much more bargaining power before the offer rather the after you accept the offer. Otherwise, it really won't look good to your new employer if after you accept their offer, you ask for more money. You'd be pulling a T.O. (the Cowboys WR). Also, many companies will put you on a brief probation period and depending on how you do during the period, they may give you an increase - it's something to look in to. Good luck to you.

If you have not yet accepted the offer you can still negotiate for that extra dollar. If you have accepted the offer then you will have to make do for a while until you have proved yourself worth your salary. After you have built up trust in your performance with your manager you can ask for the dollar raise.

You can, but chances are that they will not give it to you...If you accept it at what they offer, what is in it for them to pay you an extra dollar...All bargaining should be done at the time of offer, and we all know this is hard, but if you are not happy with what they are offering dont take the job.

I think I would have to wait on asking for a raise, if you've already accepted, but if not then it should be negotiable. If your salary isn't acceptable for you then you need to ask yourself, of what importance is this job? Go with your gut. good luck.
