I am going to learn 3DS MAX and MAYA in a few months I want to upgrade my PC with 2 processors. I presently have P4 3.06, 1.25GB RAM (DDR-400MHz) 240 GB HDD and NO Graphic Card.
Which dual processor Motherboard will be suitable for my RAM and Processor?Can I have one P4 3.06(533MHz FSB) and the other of 3.8GHz P4?How much will it cost for me for the motherboard and processor and I also need a PCI EX Graphic card, which G.Card will better suit my applications? I am ready to spend Rs.30,000 on the whole.

I'm afraid the configuration you are considering is not possible.

Dual CPUs must be identical & single channel memory will significantly harness performance on a dual processor system.

Please consider selling what you have & purchasing a new board with a "dual-core" processor as well as the appropriate DDR2 memory.

This will be much more efficient & cost effective than opting for a dual CPU socket board.

No, the current motherboard that you used are not suitable upgrade to Dual Processor.
Try to visit "www.sysopt.com/features/mboard/" for your needs.
The price may need to survey shop to shop.
