Since the press encouraged the dethroning of the Brown haired African-American Vanessa Williams (Fromer Miss America) for less pictures of the same type.

Yes, I find it hypocritical, however.....I am hoping that it's more about learning from the way they treated Vanessa Williams than how they prefer Katie Rees.

There are two issues here. One is race and the other is nude photos. The Vanessa issue was 20 years ago. Vanessa was also widely scorned at the time by the African-American community who claimed that she was too light skinned to truly represent them. Now, 20 years later, nude photos are again an issue. The moral landscape has changed in the meantime so that more are likely to speak up and say it doesn't matter. The fact that this is perceived as a racial inequity only proves one thing--if liberals can't find something to whine about, they'll make a distortion until it's whine-worthy. You were quick to look at the pictures though, weren't you?

It is hypocritical in the greater scheme of things, but our "moral" landscape has changed radically since the V. Williams episode.

I think the chick needs to be stripped of her crown and the other chick who did get the 2nd chance should have been stripped of hers too. Suddenly "rehab" is the cure all for everything that ails ya...stupidity, racism, pedophilia.....

Neither one is a shining example of what this "pageant" is suppose to be about and I wouldn't consider them role models for any young girl.

Trump needs to be consistent and give them both the boot!

Nude lesbian poses that you said never existed is different than underage drinking. Besides if she was not pretty, not blonde, and not white would there be such a big stink about this? She was almost 21 and she had some drinks? So what? I don't see anything wrong with the quality of mercy and apparently some people don't think she deserves it simply because she is blonde, white, and pretty - its ridiculous. That, and it isn't their decision to make - if they want to be the one in the "driver's seat" they can buy the pageant from Donald Trump. I'm sure he'd sell it for a few million dollars. Otherwise, SHUT UP ALREADY!!!

Race has a say in everything that happens in America.

To be fair though...the incidents happened years apart...maybe America has grown up a bit.

Could it NOT be about race and possibly be about Trump and his involvement/power?
