Do you think that there is such a thing of being too rich?

I'm asking becaise Oprah has all of that money and it seems like she is too rich because she just gives her money away. What do you think?

I think if she's giving it away and helping people, then personally I'd rather her have it than someone who was so greedy they never helped anyone else out.

You could write to her and ask her. Or write to Donald Trump. Or Bill Gates. the list goes on.
But mostly what I'm trying to say is it doesn't matter if you're too rich it what you do and how smart you are with it that's count.

Like for a example Oprah yes she does have alot of money but what does she do? She help people out to improve their lives some how. Being able to send kids to college. Help the third world with food and meds. etc..

And what have Donald do? maybe once or twice in a year help someone out that we(simple folks) hear about it on the entertainment news. And only have one t.v. show where HE'S in control what the next new employee to his company will or won't do in order to gets ahead of the ladder.

In life the is a saying there's no such thing as being too rich, too thin,or too beautiful.

It depends upon the individual rich person. People like Oprah and Bill Gates are doing the right thing with their money––giving it away to help those who are less fortunate or to improve something. It probably makes them feel good. However, people like Paris Hilton have too much money. In my opinion they waste it on jeans that are $300.00 a pair and a tee-shirt that is $150.00 and other overly frivolous stuff.

If Oprah is giving money away, that is a cause for celebration, not criticism. Well done Oprah.

Yes there is a such thing as being too rich. Some people are so rich they don't know what to do with the money!!!

I think that if you're well off and you do things to help others who aren't in financially good standing then you're not too rich. Those who are better off than the general population and do nothing to help out their fellow citizens are "too rich" for their own good.

The most wealthy people in the world are those that have been blessed with not only riches but also a good heart to give back to the community. One should consistantly be doing their best to help others.

That's what my family's always taught me anyway.

Absolutely. Being too rich is the result of an addictive personality addressing itself toward money instead of drugs or alcohol. As is the case with any addiction, the sufferer ends up being cut off from the rest of humanity.

She's not too rich if she's giving it away. Like what could she do with it all when she's dead and gone? Since she finds joy in giving to others to improve their lives, then so be it. It's actually Bible not to horde riches for ourselves but to share with others in need and I suspect she's had some of that training at some time.

The problem with being too rich is once most people get "too rich" by obsessing about money. the biggest problem with that is once you have made money your goal in life you have decided not to be happy. becuase until you have all the money in the world you will never be content.
