According to the doctor I must be using toric contact lenses instead of regular ones from now on, but I want to learn some facts. Like,

What kind of problems have you experienced?

and

What do you think about them :P

thanks

I used to wear them - gave up because I don't feel comfortable with a naked face having worn glasses since I was five - but I found them very effective indeed. I would guess that they're soft toric (because the semi-permeables usually correct for astigmatism automatically) and the only problem I had was that sometimes when I blinked they'd shift around slightly and I had to wait a brief while before they settled down again. But I'd go for it. Good luck.

I have to wear only one contact and that is a toric one.....had worn the disposable kind for years and moved on to the toric. Took just a short time to get use to them and having to take out every night but other than that no problems at all......
Good Luck

toric lenses are used to correct astigmatism. Astigmatism means that the front surface of your eye or the cornea is not perfectly round and has more than one curve to it. In order to achieve the clearest vision a person needs to have the astigmatism corrected in their glasses or contacts. There shouldn't be much difference between lenses for astigmatism and ones that are not for astigmatism. You should just see clearer and they should feel the same.

Well..i was in the same boat..i bought the lenses...almost $300 a pair then couldnt even wear them...they were SOOO uncomfortable...you might want to see if you can try it out before you get it...its totally different than a regular lens. I wear glasses.
