Heat comes blasting out at the highest setting, however you can barely feel it at any of the other three settings.

Possibly the blower motor resistor. It can be visually verified once located. It looks like a light bulb filiment (coiled wire) for each speed. Usually find the high speed only (least used and the thickest coil) to be symthom

Not an answer, but my chev cavalier does the same thing. Only setting 3 & 4 work. Nothing comes out of setting 1 & 2. Prob have to pay an arm & leg to get fixed.

Check if the resistor that controls fan speed is dead - at full whack, it's bypassed, which would explain the problem. They're commonly in the engine bay.

Classic case of Blower Motor Resistor failure. I'd bet money that's all you will need.

you may need a new switch for it... have had the same problem with many of the late-model chevy's i have owned... i currently have a '68 Impala but i think it only has one setting...

You need a new blower motor resistor - that will take care of it.

adam could be right but don't count out the blower being bad too.
