the itunes interface program is a free download- go to the apple website and follow the links to get it. once you have it, then as you purchase music from it you then pay as you purchase. i pulled it up this weekend and wasnt looking at it closely, and i too got confused about if you had to "purchase" the itunes program-but it's still free!

you dont pay for i-tunes itself but for each download you do songs..99cents shows 3 dollars and movies are 6 dollars
