Keeping a 9 month old relaxed on the potty "aint gonna happen". He is too young to be trained. Now, I congratulate you on your efforts to have the worlds fastest potty trained kid, but unless he is Super Baby, I don't see this working. His brain development has not reached that stage of understanding. Give it some time. Don't rush him. Going to the potty is a big responsibility for a toddler. Allow him to live his last days as an infant!!! lol.. he will be 18 before you know it and hopefully he will be pooping in the potty just fine by then!!! Good Luck!

The baby is a bit to young to try potty training if you try to do it to early it will just make it harder in the long run, my sister in law tried the same way as you and her son didn't get dry until he was over three, don't worry you son will let you know when he is ready neither of mine potty trained till they were 2 1/2 and were done day and night in less than a week.. hope that helps, think the best advice i can give you is just enjoy while he is a baby as they grow far to quickly this time will soon be lost and you will wonder where it has gone.. Happy new year

9 months is really too early. A good time to start potty training is 18 months - 2 years. Being a boy it is even harder. Do not get upset about this.

WHat on earth are you trying to do to the poor thing? And where have you got this idea that you put 9month old babies on potties? It's a completely pointless excercise as babies have no bladder or bowel control and will pee and poo when they have to, not when you or even they want to.
I think you should put the potty away for a year.

First of all, you should be reported for child abuse. No 9 month old child can use the potty successfully due to the fact they have no control over their bowels. You child should be atleast 1 year old before trying to introduce them to the potty. I hope this was a joke question and if not, I hope they take that child and give to parents who know how to take proper care of them. GOD help you.

You're most likely having problems because he is only 9 months old. They are just getting used to their diapers. Wait until a year or so to begin this transition.

At nine months old? I didn't start any of mine until they were about 18 months, and it worked out great. They need to be able to understand what is going on with their body so they can be an active part of the training process. At nine months, you are the only one being trained.

HE`S TOO YOUNG, give him a break! Try in another 9 months time! They all get there in the end. Don`t make a big issue out of it!
