What is wrong with the Muslims in Africa and the middle East?

why are they trying to wipe out Christians in Somalia and wipe out Africans in Sudan? why so much extremist activity. Everywhere you turn there is a war on innocent civilians from Muslims. I thought they were a peaceful religion, why are they causing so much strife? Is this the media that is exploiting them or are they really cruel?

Why do they have to force their religion on everybody? Personally its getting me upset and I am sick and tired of Muslims starting (thats right I said it) trouble not only with Americans but other countries as well? Why can't they get off their high horse and continue praising Allah and leave everybody alone?

I know what I'm talking about. They want everyone to worship their religion, and if you check your history, thats what they have been doing from jump!

I am sorry for you for your mis information.CLARIFICATION:
1-Everybody in Sudan are muslims and obviously they are all Africans and they all speak arabic.The war is between the Nomads and the Gawangeed tribes.TRIBAL WAR..
2-Somalia was run by an oppressive gov.that had warlords everywere and terrorised the somalis ..
2-When the Islamic courts took over they closed all checkpoints and put anyone who killed or robbed or beatup the people in jail(obviously crime went down)
3-Most Somali christians support the Islamic courts thats why the gov. ask ethiopia for help.
4-The Islamic courts in Somalia have never prosecuted someone for their religion.
5- Somali gov. called it a religous war because they cant say we want to continue to be corrupt ...
Here is some advice I understand that you may have been confused especially if you just watch mainsream media but you want the real story then you should ask a person who is from that country and you will see things more clearly thats what I did..

What is wrong with Muslims is not the question you should be asking. What is wrong with the regions you talk about would be a more constructive answer. The trouble is that what is wrong is not one single thing, person or event. It's both naive and dangerous to look for one cause or group of people or single religion and say 'If it wasn't for that then....we wouldn't have a scarily disintegrating situation throughout the world where conflicts are starting to become religious based.

19% of the world is Muslim and that is increasing. 32% of the world is Christian and that is decreasing. (http://www.religioustolerance.org/worldrel.htm) This says something about those religions I would guess. To say or suggest that that entire group is cruel is like suggesting all Christians are as opportunistic and one eyed as G W Bush.

I would also suggest that you look a bit further into your history and ask whether Muslims starting it at all is really correct. I suggest that they are merely reacting to what has become a very large mess called the Middle East. And who called it this? Who named the countries and organised the nice straight lines that make up these countries? And who forced many differing tribes together into these newly born countries? The answer, unfortunately, is Britain, the US and members of Old Europe. The reasons of course are many and varied but include empire building, strategic interests and of course oil production. It would be intersting to hear what the other side of the coin sounds like, don't you think?

It gets so bizzare when you learn about events such as the first chemical weopons use in Iraq occurred when the Brithish were trying to control various tribes there at the turn of the 20th century, not mad old Saddam with a grudge against a villiage for allowing a sniper to have a go at him.

As for forcing their religion on everybody I think the Christians are just as good at that, if not better. I have never had a muslim force their religion on me. The number of times Christians have come beating down my door wanting me to convert, save myself and spread the good word are innumerable.

Or how about the Christian missionaries going off to Africa and Asia and jamming Christian beliefs and values down the throat of people who have entirely different cultures, values and attitudes to Western countries. And of course if you can't convert them, kill them like the British Army did in Africa, Australia and the U.S.

Whilst it does seem that Muslims can be very brutal when they fight, (beheadings particularly so), so can Westerners. Depleted uranium shells anyone? Also does it seem right that G W Bush should invoke his God when deciding to announce that he is going to bomb the innards out of a sovereign country and play the regime change game?

By the way I am neither British, Middle Easterner, American, Christian or Muslim so I answer with no real personal bias.

there are many problems with the Muslim religion , one and fore most is the fact the western world has discriminated against them so drastically, one such as forcing them into accepting Jew's into formerly Palestine. killing the Arab Muslim populace, i feel they are afraid of being exterminated, by the western world, 2nd they have a very vile religion that teaches to either kill or convert, not unlike the Christan crusades in the past, how ever the Christan's have become advanced and don't so those things any more , I also wonder if the crusades were entirely for religious purposes or were their other incentives such as gold, and religion was the pretense so they could get more followers??? also what is the real goal of the Muslims??? as I seriously doubt religion is the main goal, as most of them are so cruel and most religions teach peace and harmony.

You're right. Don't listen to people who say you are wrong. They don't believe Muslim are doing anything wrong. They will try and make you seem stupid or make you out to be some sort of racist.
