Hi, I want to get a paid subscription for Anti-spam, anti-virus, and anti-hack etc. Which company is the best? I recently found out that i have a lot of viruses on my computer. I have McAfee but that was just a trial and it ended two years ago. I downloaded the free versions of Spy Sweeper, and Adware SE Personal. SpySweeper requires me to pay in order to remove the spyware, but Adware SE Personal lets me quarantine and remove the spyware and adware but it has limited functionality. Which one should i buy? Name any brand that you know is good.

I can give a few links that offer free virus and spyware removers...!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at
http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html
You first select a best software by down loading their free offers then go for regular subscription.

You are talking apples and oranges, here. Antivirus is one thing, spyware is another. I have used Ad-Aware SE Personal for 3 years, and it does not have limited functionality, unless you are not making use of it as it should be used. SpyBot is a much better spyware ware than Spy Sweeper, and is free.

AVG has a full suite of free utilities, AVG AntiVirus and Advisor. It will have a new upgraded free version available in January, and in fact, it may be out now.

Comodo has a full suite of utilities including one of the best personal firewalls around.

I don't recommend any of the ones you have to pay for, simply because the best are free.

I use AVAST antivirus which offers a free version for home use. It has small daily automatic updates. I've used it for 3 years and have never been infected by a virus.

AVAST antivirus can be found here:

http://www.avast.com/index.html

For anti-Spyware I use 3 programs which are also free. (donations welcome, but not required)

- 'SpywareBlaster' which blocks spyware before it's installed.

- 'Spybot Search & Destroy' which finds and removes spyware.

- 'AdAware SE Personal' which also finds and removes spyware.

In case anything gets past SpywareBlaster, I prefer to use the 2 spyware removal programs to cross-check each other's scan results and make sure nothing was missed.

I have a best Idea.

Just download AVG Free version 7.5.
just visit http://free.grisoft.com and download the free version.

This will surely remove all viruses as i am also using the same.
And also this will not cause system slow down like Norton Antivirus.
Instead of spending money on paid Antispam, antivirus, just download this software.

first of all buying spyware won't help you with viruses. And buying an antivirus won't help with adware necessarily. Why don't you try before spending any money using AVG free antivirus, Ewido anti-spyware Free and a good firewall (ZoneAlarm Free). Don't use multiple antivirus software or firewalls ar antispyware. Just one for each kind, the rest get rid of them (uninstall).
For all these free programs go here

There is no "best" anti-virus program. Although, there are some that work better than others. If there was a "best" anti-virus program, the hackers would all go for that program; making it useless. But as far as spyware protection..
-I use AdAware SE Personal. -(Like you)
-I also use this program called "SpyBot-Search & Destroy"

These programs are both easy and free to use.
Hope this helps.

I recommend Symantec. Its not free, but it is the best. They are very quick to respond to new threats and their software works well with other applications.
