I've had a pet rat for years (not the same one of course) and I've never had rodent problems in my house.

Yes, here are some examples: A pet fish, mouse or bird will attract a cat. A pet cat will attract a dog. A pet dog will attract a pet tiger and a pet tiger will attract a pet gorilla! So, be careful of what kind of pet you get. (smile)

yes.. they give off an oder that other rodents can sense if they are near the house or in attic/basement.. that will draw them to the house.. thinking it is a safe enviroment for them..
