A couple nights ago I had a dream that there was a huge flood. The waters had destroyed almost everything, only leaving two things standing. A building and a tree. I was in the building, an orphanage, and was looking out through the front door at the water that had taken everything away... and was looking at the tree. The tree was very very full, beautiful, and large! Kinda looked like the Animal Kingdom tree. And I remember the sun was shining, and there was blue skies, not a cloud in sight.

Does this dream mean anything? Or was it just some random, weird dream?

Your dream may have several meanings but here are a few things that may help:

FLOOD- may be an emotional issues and tension. Your repressed emotions may be overwhelming you.
BUILDING-"To see a building in your dream, may represents the self and the body. How high you are in the building indicates a rising level of understanding or awareness. If you are in the lower levels of the building, then it refers to more primal attitudes and/or sexuality.
To see a building in ruins or damaged, indicates that your approach toward a situation or relationship is all wrong. You need to change. Your own self-image may have suffered and taken some blow." - www.dreammoods.com
TREE- lush green trees in your dream, symbolizes new hopes, growth and desires, strength and stability(self-development and individuation.)
SUN- symbolizes peace of mind, enlightenment, tranquility, fortune, goodwill, and insight
CLEAR SKY- peace and freedom of expression
IF YOU WERE AN ORPHAN- may be your need to learn to be more independent and self-sufficient.

Go to http://spirita.blogspot.com/. Post your dream there and she will give you an expanation. She is very talented and has had some good insights for me in 2 of my dreams.

Here is a possible interpretation of your dream. This flood is symbolizing a major change in your life. What ever it is, it will seem disruptive at first. But later, everything will be fine. Sounds like a necessary major change is in order. The tree could respresent some knowledge that is available to you. I woud recommend you meditate in nature and attempt to contact this tree for ongoing advice. You have been given info/hints in the past to make changes but resisted. Now the change comes whether you accept it or not. You think it is a scary change but it turns out to be an improvement.

Water symbolises the emotional side of the unconscious. To dream of a flood or being swept away by water, indicates that you feel emotionally overwhelmed. These dreams also hint at baptism and rebirth. The fertile, nourishing effect of floodwater may be implied. This dream could therefore represent the start of a new phase of life and renewed personal growth.

Dreaming about being in a flood is an indication that you are currently experiencing powerful emotions that may be overwhelming. The flood in your dream could represent a very powerful, or even violent, emotionally cleansing experience.

Dreams are nothing more than random images which the brain tries to arrange in a sequence that makes sense.

What you remember is the artificial sequence, not the original random one.

Because dream imagery is random, dreams don't mean a thing.

It sounds like a scene from Tsumani th eAftermath.
It could me something. It is very important to note the cloour of the water. If it was clean then that is good. if it was dirth water, that spells trouble.

No such thing as a random odd dream. Dreams are your subconscious telling you something. Learn to interpret your own dreams to hear what you need to know.

A child once said "Dreams are like television in your head."
And, as far as I can tell, they mean about as much. Don't worry about it.
