Typically working with wildlife does not pay that well, people mostly get into it because they are passionate about animals, and the job is so rewarding that the money part does not much matter. You can probably only get volunteer work without a degree. Even some of those positions are taken by people with degrees who cannot find paying jobs, just so they can get experience so that when a paying job comes up they will have a better chance to get it. You can look into working with birds, there are usually a lot o those positons, but you would have to start out taking very little money and work your way up, but I think you would eventually have to go back to school and get at least a Bachelor of Science degree. Check out this website for opportunities for working with birds:

There are wildlife technician jobs that often do not require a degree. However there are so many people with degrees trying to get wildlife jobs that they apply for the teechnician jobs in order to gain experience and to get their foot in the door. Which I guess tells you that there are not a lot of openings. Wildlife careers do not typically pay a lot, however with a degree you can make a living.
