OK, let's figure this out:
First let's look at the last number. To do this, add 6 and 8 and 8 and 5 to get 7. So now you know the number is either 1187 or 1407.
Next, I would estimate the number by saying that 36+78 is more than 100, and 198 is almost 200, and 475 is almost 500, and 620 is about 600, so the sum is about 100+200+500+600 or 1400.
So the answer is 1407 without having to actually add up the numbers. Of course you could use a calculator to check your work.

if you realy find maths hard then follow the following method--
36+78+198+475+620
=30+6+70+8+200-2+500-25+600+20
=30+70+200+500+600+6+8-2-25+20
=100+200+500+600+12-5
=1400+7
=1407
just break down the nos. into smaller parts.
