We have been getting intereference on our tele and the dvd player wont work at all when my daughter switched her console on. I have read through instructions and made sure she isn't actively trying to hook up to other units but its a pain - anyone else have a smiliar problem and how can i resolve it

It's the ds lite's functions that do this. Because they can connect to other ds lite's and ds'. This makes them interfere with tv's, electronic systems etc. I have never had mine do it this strongly before, usually it only flickers once every few months, but your's seems to be a problem. I would take it back and exchange it for another one, tell the shop assistant of the problems you have been having! But they are great fun gadgets, so don't get rid of it altogether! Oh by the way you aren't allowed them on any public transport as they interfere with trains, aeroplanes etc.

yes just turn of the wireless. You know if the wireless is on if the power button if flashing on and off in green. alternately check if your apliances are reading that they arte being connected to the DS and ban it form connecting.
its either that or put your daughter in a lead box when she is playing the console lol^_^
