Sandy, Sure lets follow the Geneva Convention. Then we can just shoot all those detainees in GITMO and save ourselves some money. Super, I don't care how or why they leave as long as they get out !!

In a word... YES
They are an organization filled with such utter corruption. They feel they have authority over our sovereign nation, yet refuse to assert actual authority and consequences over the truly evil regimes of the world. The UN is about as hypocritical as they come.
Much like the league of nations was deemed impractical and disbanded, so should the UN.

How bout this question....should the UN throw the USA out of their organization and move out of New York voluntarily?
Do you know what the United Nations is? Do you know what they stand for? And do you understand that the US violated their membership priveleges? If you go against the rules/wishes/majority vote of any organization, you get thrown out. How is it that you feel (in your American arrogance) that the US should kick the UN out of New York? Sigh. Doesn't look like the world is gonna change for the better any time soon...

Better under our eye where we can watchthei song and dance..in fact we should sell tickets to watch these people cluck around the coop.
Besides, call me a optimist but I would like to think the UN would return to its orginal concept as a forum for all the nations to come together and air grievences and address issues without the media in everyone's faces every second of everyday

We kinda owe them to much money. And we did start the UN, so itis kinda up to us to give it space and abide by it. We do niether.
When USA abides by Geneva Convention, then someone can stand tall and say something, as lon g as we spy on ourselves, detain suspects without trial for indefinate periods of time, torture, rape, kill iknnocents, then yes we need some orginization somewhere that can help; us back to sanity.
