You seem to assume that it's necessary to have a prejudice against French people.

The main prejudice towards the French is that they did not back the war in Iraq. Unfortunately, the media showed only the ignorant people talking about the French. These are the people that would follow others blindly without knowing the whole story. I do not dislike the French, or their country. It was not the French people that decided not to go to war but their government.

I just think they are incredibly ungreatful to us. They come to this country and strut around like peacocks thinking we are all ingrates when we have totally saved thier butts on more than one occasion.(not to mention have exceptional hygene) Now I dont agree with this war at all, BUT I do think that with all Americans have done for thier country that if we come asking for something like support in a decision they should give it without question and fail, whatever it is. And especially at the time we asked for support, just after 9/11 it should have been given wholeheartedly after the world watched the mass destruction and taking of innocent lives without cause.
But when they need us again, they will expect us to give our time, resources and sympathies, and we will because thats the American nature. I think thats what pisses me off the most, its that people can crap all over us, but when they need help we are the first ones they call upon to help.

I am not prejudging Parisians at all:
they smoke too much!
there is dog doo on all sidewalks
the smell of urine wherever you go
their food is yucky, with a few exceptions
they have refused NATO to use their airspace

Well they really are rude. I mean the do put an effort into it. But it does not impact on my every-day life.

aside from the whole Napoleonic era, they suck at fighting wars and defending themselves. ex: franco prussian war, ww2, french and Indian wars, and the list goes on and on.
